Description:	This 1:500,000-scale map was derived from the 1:250,000-scale geologic map published by the Pennsylvania Geological Survey (Map 1). The units on the state geologic map were combined into 19 general rock types, and the contacts were generalized for the smaller scale. Note that outdated ordering instructions were removed from the scanned image of the map.
