Description
This report consists of a 1:24,000-scale surficial geologic map of the New Ringgold 7.5-minute quadrangle in eastern Pennsylvania and a short text. Surficial geology includes 15 types of anthropogenic, alluvial, and colluvial units. Areas of bedrock are defined by rock type and color. The text includes map unit descriptions and a discussion of reconnaissance mapping procedures, previous work, and the effects of glacial and periglacial activity on landforms and drainage. A table equates published soil map units to the surficial and bedrock units shown on the report map.
