Description:This is a 1:24,000-scale bedrock geologic map of the Richland 7.5-minute quadrangle in Lebanon and Lancaster Counties, southeastern Pennsylvania, with text on the reverse side of the sheet. The northern two thirds of the quadrangle is in the Great Valley section of what is now called the Ridge and Valley physiographic province, and the southern third is in what is now called the Gettysburg-Newark Lowland section of the Piedmont physiographic province. Triassic, Ordovician, and Cambrian rocks are mapped along with strikes and dips, and faults. A stratigraphic column and four cross sections are included on the map plate. Formation descriptions and measured sections are given in the text. The structural geology is described in detail and mineral resources are briefly described.
