Description:The Annville limestone is a high-purity limestone of economic importance in southeastern Pennsylvania. This area is structurally complex, and the text describes it in detail. Spatial variation in the purity of the limestone and quarrying methods are discussed. The report includes two plates: Plate 1 is an areal geologic map of the Annville high-calcium limestone belt in Lebanon and Berks Counties, and Plate 2 shows detailed geologic maps with cross sections of three quarried areas (map areas are shown on Plate 1).
