Description
This report documents the composition, texture, and diagenetic fabric of the Lower Silurian Medina Group sandstones in two fields in northwestern Pennsylvania. The investigation of these hydrocarbon reservoirs also provides a detailed model of depositional and lithologic patterns to aid exploration, pay recognition and evaluation, and well completion and stimulation design. Appendix 1 is a list of wells, geophysical-log calculations, and initial open flows. Appendix 2 contains analyses of two cores that include depth, permeability, porosity, fluid saturations, and grain density. Forty-six figures and 11 tables provide an additional ample display of data and interpretive analyses.
