Description:This report documents the composition, texture, and diagenetic fabric of the Lower Silurian Medina Group sandstones in two fields in northwestern Pennsylvania. The investigation of these hydrocarbon reservoirs also provides a detailed model of depositional and lithologic patterns to aid exploration, pay recognition and evaluation, and well completion and stimulation design. Appendix 1 is a list of wells, geophysical-log calculations, and initial open flows. Appendix 2 contains analyses of two cores that include depth, permeability, porosity, fluid saturations, and grain density. Forty-six figures and 11 tables provide an additional ample display of data and interpretive analyses.
