Description
This report is a comprehensive study of the zinc-lead ore deposits in Pennsylvania. It is an update to Mineral Resource Report 5, which was published in 1924. The prospects are listed by geologic age of the host rock (starting with the oldest—Precambrian) and within that classification are generally grouped by formation. There are many illustrations, maps, and photographs, and detailed descriptions for each site. Plates include a statewide map showing the locations of the described occurrences or zinc or lead, and more detailed maps (e.g., mine workings, cross sections, geology of an area) of selected sites.
