Description:Detailed report on the geology and mineral resources of an area that extends southwest from Williamsport in southern Lycoming County. The geologic units in this area consist of a variety of folded Paleozoic sedimentary rocks, which are partly overlain by alluvium, colluvium, and glacial surficial deposits. The report includes a text, a bedrock geologic map, and a surficial geologic map; both maps are 1:24,000 scale. Major text topics are physiography, stratigraphy, structural geology, economic resources, and environmental geology. The surficial map plate includes photographs and discussion of the surficial deposits.
