Description
Detailed report on the geology and mineral resources of an area mostly in southern Montour County. The geologic units in this area consist of folded, Devonian clastic sedimentary rocks (predominantly Catskill Formation), which are partly overlain by alluvium, colluvium, and glacial deposits. The report includes a text, a 1:24,000-scale bedrock geologic map, a 1:24,000-scale surficial geologic map, and a plate of measured sections in the Trimmers Rock and Catskill Formations. Major text topics are bedrock geology, surficial geology, and structural geology. The geologic unit descriptions include information on associated mineral resources, groundwater, engineering characteristics, and geologic hazards.
