Description:This atlas report details the stratigraphy, structure, engineering characteristics, and economic resources of the Mississippian Pocono Formation through the Pennsylvanian Conemaugh Group in an area around Clearfield in west-central Pennsylvania. It is accompanied by a 1:24,000-scale geologic map, cross sections, and generalized stratigraphic section. There are also plates with 1:48,000-scale coal reserve maps and measured coal sections (Upper, Middle, and Lower Kittanning coals, and Lower and Upper Freeport coals), and a 1:48,000-scale foundation and excavation map.
