Description:A highly illustrated guidebook used for a field trip conducted after the 2006 National Geological Society of America (GSA) Meeting in Philadelphia. The guidebook relates geology to the logistics and outcome of the Gettysburg Campaign. From Devils Den to the Union’s emplacement along the “fishhook,” diabase (an igneous intrusive rock) played an especially important role. Eight stop descriptions and related road logs are included.
