Description:This report summarizes the geohydrology and groundwater resources of Delaware County, an area of metamorphic and igneous rocks, and terrace and unconsolidated deposits. It includes descriptions of the geology; hydrology; the occurrence, movement, availability, and chemical quality of the groundwater in the geologic units; and the potential of those units as groundwater sources. Forty tables of data are in the text, including summary tables of well statistics and water measurements, various chemical analyses, and a record of selected wells. The report includes one plateā€”a 1:50,000-scale geologic map of the county, showing the locations of selected wells. The map explanation includes descriptions of the geologic units and their water-bearing properties.
